Ken Beitel

CEO and Founder

Ken’s background spans technology, education, and workforce innovation. He's supported the U.S. Air Force, in developing learning management systems and interactive training tools for the aircrews of the KC-135 air-to-air refueling tanker and C-5 cargo plane. Ken is a recognized presenter on talent development at mining and utility conferences and serves as a board member of a silver mine. Based in Boulder, Colorado, he enjoys mountain trails and is passionate about helping students discover careers they love and pathways into the mining & energy sectors.

Bresee Carlson

Legal & Energy Advisor

Bresee is a partner at a Texas-based energy law firm and an adjunct professor at Western Colorado University. She sits on the board of Energy Strong, and is actively engaged in the DAPL, WAPL, and RMMLF. In her spare time Bresee volunteers with the Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center providing guardian ad litem services for protection order proceedings or works on her unfortunately high golf handicap.

Peyton Jackson

Head of Partnerships

With 15+ years of mining industry experience, Peyton leads partnerships for Career Invites, helping industry leaders share valuable work-based learning opportunities with students nationwide. Peyton is a member of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (SME), the Denver Mining Club, and the American Institute of Professional Geologists (AIPG).

Lindsey Schultz

Chair AEMA Workforce Committee

Lindsey Schultz is the CEO of MRC Recruiting and brings expertise in mining talent strategy and workforce development. She holds an MBA and certifications in organizational effectiveness and leadership, and partners with organizations including the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (SME), Women in Mining, and AEMA to help companies attract and retain high-quality talent.

Geoff Grimmer

Advisor

Geoff is an advisor to Career Invites and the former Chair of the Eagle County Climate Action Collaborative. He also serves as a Council Member in the Town of Eagle and as a Board Director with the Northwest Colorado Council of Governments. Geoff holds a BS in Finance from the Carlson School of Management.

Ron Horstman

Advisor

Ron is the Energy Services Program Manager at Western Area Power Administration and brings more than 39 years of experience across energy and utilities. Mr. Horstman has served as a speaker and consultant for numerous local, state, and national organizations, including the National Conference of States on Building Codes and Standards and the American Public Power Association.

Marketing, Finance & AI

A marketing, finance, and AI student at the University of Colorado Boulder, Jack is a driving force behind the development of CI career experiences.

Luke Eber

Research & Energy Systems

Luke is a Colorado School of Mines graduate student in Advanced Energy Systems. His research into training and work-based learning opportunities plays a core role in helping high schools discover careers students love.
